Darrell Schwartz Social Studies Teacher | "I have been a High School Business, History and Holocaust teacher for over 16 years in Florida. I have my BA in Economics, MBA in Business and my Specialist in Ed Leadership. In Florida I was teaching at William T. Dwyer High School in Palm Beach Gardens Florida. I love being a teacher and working with all my students to help them succeed and excel in school and achieve their dreams in life. I am married to my amazing wife and we have four children. We have had our second home in Crab Orchard Tennessee for over 7 years and we have been planning to move and live in Tennessee full time. We love it here and we are now happy to call this our home. When looking for a new school to work at I did my research and fell in love with the Kingston community and Roane County High School and I was so excited when and opening came up this summer and I had the opportunity to become part of the Roane County High School and Kingston Family." |
Mackenzie Simmons English Teacher | "I am new to the Roane County Schools System and could not be more enthused for the position! I have always had a passion to teach and am excited to share that with students at Roane County High School! I am a Tennessee transplant and moved here during high school but quickly found how much Tennessee can feel like home. I have 3 amazing kids of my own who are active in sports and school, so you can typically find me at some form of ball field when I’m not in the classroom. I believe that a classroom is one step in fostering a community and building relationships between all that are involved in the future of young minds. As an English teacher, the subject has always been one of my favorites, from reading to writing, I was able to find value in the words that carried meaning in the ways they were written and used. I hope to teach students that even if English is not your favorite subject, it can open so many avenues to grow learning and advance perspectives as they grow older. I am so happy to rock the Orange and Navy Blue this year! I’m looking forward to a fun and amazing year with Roane County High School." |
Sonia Eskridge Bookkeeper | "I have over 25 years experience in administration and for seven of those years I taught Nutrition, Hygiene, and Drug free curriculum in the schools of Roane County. I’m extremely excited to be here and can’t wait to see what this school year has in store!" |
Stacy Heidle Receptionist | "I have worked in administration for 8 years with the Morgan County Sherriff's Department and the Circuit Court Clerk's Office. Before that, I was a cosmetologist for 20 years. I am really excited to be at Roane County High School, and I look forward to meeting everyone!" |
Heather Sims Attendant | "I'm very grateful for the opportunity to be at RCHS, and I can't wait to see what this new year brings. I'm a proud cheer mom and also have four fur babies that are my world. I've worked in special education for several years and loved every minute of it. My heart is full of Jacket Pride!" |
