This week, Mr. Schwartz’s World History and Geography class studied the Holocaust. Mr. Schwartz brought a Holocaust Torah (The Old Testament Bible) that was rescued from a burning Temple in Poland during the Holocaust. Students learned about the significance of this artifact along with other artifacts from Jewish life. Students also learned and read stories about the outcome of Jewish people in Europe during the Holocaust. Students also discussed what it means to be good citizens and why they should stand up for what’s right so that this type of tragedy would not happen again.
