January Hoops!

HHS FCCLA ended the semester with our children’s book drive. We collected 500 children’s books for students at Bowers Elementary. We want to thank Harriman Middle Student Council and Beta Clubs, and United Grocery Outlet for donating books! This was a huge success and we were happy to share the love of reading this holiday season.

Coach John Daugherty's STEM classes at Harriman High School partnered with a former HHS student and Marks Chapel Church in Harriman to design, build, and deliver a blessing box to serve the Harriman community. Our students are passionate about being the hands and feet of service, showing love and support beyond the classroom walls.
At Harriman High, we are more than a school—we are the heart of our community. We are Harriman.

HHS students proudly volunteered their time and energy on Friday night at Senator Ken Yager's 29th Annual Chili Supper! This cherished community tradition brought together residents and leaders from across the region, including Gov. Bill Lee, to support an important cause.
This year's event supported the Roane County Anti-Drug Coalition, raising funds and awareness for substance abuse prevention. We are grateful to see our students making a difference in the community! 🍲💙 #HHSVolunteers #CommunityImpact #RoaneCounty

Our Teaching as a Profession students had a lovely visit from Zoo Knoxville. TAP students took part in a teacher workshop, where they learned how to make science instruction meaningful through hands-on experiences with bio-facts, animal skins, specimens, and even live animals. Students were engaged and eager to apply their learning in their Job Shadow experiences. Thank you for joining us! We hope to visit the zoo for another workshop soon!
